1. Agreement
This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a binding agreement between you and Taqql, Inc. governing your use of the Taqql mobile applications for iOS and Android (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
2. License grant
Subject to this EULA and the Terms of Service, Taqql grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the App on a mobile device you own or control, solely for your organization’s authorized use of Taqql.
3. App permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:
3.1 Microphone
- Why: Voice commands for Q (time entry, daily report narratives, expense entry). You may use text input instead at any time; the microphone is never required.
- When accessed: Only when you tap the microphone button or initiate a voice session. The App does not continuously listen in the background.
- Data handling: Audio is processed for transcription in-session. Raw audio is not stored after the transaction is confirmed. See the Privacy Policy.
3.2 Camera
- Why: Receipt photo capture, expense evidence, daily report photos, receiving photos, material intake (MMS/photo), and equipment check-in.
- When accessed: Only when you explicitly initiate a photo capture action.
- Data handling: Photos are uploaded to Taqql’s secure storage and associated with the relevant record. They are accessible only to authorized users in your organization.
3.3 Location (GPS)
- Why: Geo-stamp on field entries (timesheets, expenses, receiving, progress, safety incidents) for audit and compliance purposes.
- When accessed: Only when you initiate a field entry that captures location. The App does not continuously track or log your location in the background.
- Data handling: Coordinates are stored per-entry. They are not shared with third parties for advertising.
3.4 Local storage / offline data
- Why: Offline-first design. All field-capture flows work without cell service. Data is stored locally and synced when connectivity returns.
- Data stored locally: Pending transactions, cached project and Control Account references, Q conversation history.
- Encryption: Local data is stored using the platform’s standard secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore for credentials; encrypted storage for pending transactions).
3.5 Push notifications
- Why: Approval status changes, sync completion, important project alerts.
- Optional: You can decline push notification permission; the App will function fully without it.
4. Offline mode and data sync
The App is designed to function without internet connectivity. When offline:
- Data entered is stored locally on your device.
- Sync occurs automatically when connectivity is restored.
- You will see a clear indicator of pending/unsynchronized data.
You are responsible for ensuring your device has adequate storage for offline operation.
5. Updates
Taqql may release updates to the App through the App Store or Google Play. We recommend enabling automatic updates. Some updates may be required to continue using the service.
6. Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Distribute, sublicense, or sell the App.
- Remove or alter proprietary notices.
- Use the App for any purpose outside of authorized Taqql use.
7. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Your rights terminate automatically if you violate this EULA. Upon termination, you must delete the App from all devices.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TAQQL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR FREE FROM SECURITY VULNERABILITIES.
9. Limitation of liability
SEE SECTION 10 OF THE TERMS OF SERVICE FOR THE FULL LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
10. App Store / Google Play
If you download the App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, additional terms from those platforms apply. In the event of a conflict between this EULA and the App Store / Google Play terms, this EULA governs to the fullest extent permitted.
